Accessibility

MLA North East has developed this website to serve the largest possible audience by addressing the needs of people with differing abilities and systems. The site conforms to the Web Accessibility Initiative of the World Wide Web Consortium, levels 1, 2 and in most cases, meets level 3 (W3C Web Content Accessibility).

This website contains links to a variety of external 3rd party websites. MLA North East can take no responsibility for the accessibility of registered user websites i.e. some of these sites may not comply with WAI Level 2 accessibility standards. Given this, such links have remained in place as they contribute to the core function of the website. We endeavour to advise developers of non-compliant websites of the need to meet this level of accessibility.

Website accessibility issues are constantly evolving as the internet evolves. Also accessibility is a matter of balance – trying to ensure that all users have a good experience while at all times ensuring that no-one is excluded. We hope we have achieved this balance. However please feel free to contact us if you wish to comment on any aspect of the site’s accessibility.
